 Andorra's parishes

Andorra's territory is structured into seven parishes, which are the foremost and final administrative authorities under the government of Andorra. Some parishes have smaller territorial constituencies: Ordino, La Massana and Sant Julià de Lòria are each divided into four parts and the parish of Canillo is split into neighbourhoods. The parishes take the name of the town serving as the capital.

Parishes have both an ecclesiastical and a civil function. As a civil jurisdiction it is called a Comú (municipality). The Municipality Council ("Consell del Comú") is elected every four years by universal suffrage and all inhabitants with Andorran nationality are entitled to vote. This Municipality Council ("Consell del Comú") comprises the Head Councillor, the Deputy Head Councillor and between 8 and 14 Commune Councillors.
