Rossell Forge

The Rossell Forge was built between 1842 and 1846 and, except for a short period of inactivity, remained open until 1876. These dates make it one of the last active forges in Andorra and a living example of the country's pre-industrial heritage.

The Rossell Forge has now become an Interpretation Centre for iron and explains the iron ore transformation process into ingots and its later sale to Catalan markets in an audiovisual and drop hammer demonstration. There are also tools for working the material on display: the pump, the furnace, etc.
